Abu Simbel Sun Festival ☀️ Abu Simbel are 2 massive rock cut temples located on the western bank of Laker Nasser. Twice a year for 20 min the sun aligns perfectly to illuminate the inner corridor of the great temple and crown the statues along the posterior wall. Similar to Stone Henge at Midsummer. To be able to witness such an event from INSIDE the temple, while the sun was rising felt nothing short of a miracle. Every single person who was there at this moment served a very important role.
